They are almost certainly not gay (tear.)  I very much respect that they are such close friends and that they portray a male couple (as friends, in this case) that can be almost affectionate with each other and that they do this in the realm of science.  

One has to wonder if they will eventually try to bust the myths about their own sexual orientation.  It could be a well-done show.  

I get about 60 hits a day to the blog, mostly from the search engines.  Lots of people wonder!</description>
