Geek Fu #7 - All the Pharmacy’s a Stage
This podcast has me wondering where the podcasts for Tokyo Calling and Girl on Tech are (or just wondering if iPodder has screwed up,) reiterating that I am completely unable to talk improv into the microphone without editing out “um’s” and long pauses (no matter how “performance art” it is,) and talking about the embarrassment of shopping at the pharmacy.
I didn’t realize until I read this essay aloud how many times I said “vaginal dryness.” You’ve been warned.
Things I did not talk about that are on my mind:
- World of Warcraft has legendary lag and legendary server problems, and is turning out not to be worth the $15 a month, even if the game does rock (when you can play it, that is.)
- We just found out that my mom’s dog, a 10 year old rescued and formerly abused shi-tzu, is blind.
- I am fond of parenthetical statements, and use them often in my essays. This does not translate well to spoken form. I must keep this in mind as I keep podcasting.
I apologize for the low-energy of this podcast. Hopefully by next week I’ll have shaken this thing. Also, I mention at the end that it was 9 minutes long, and was a little wrong. I blame the sickness. Yeah. That’s it.

A friend said you’d mentioned Tokyo Calling recently. I just stopped by to have a listen. I enjoyed listening to a recent podcast of yours. Hopefully, Tokyo Calling will be back in the near future. I’m buried in work at the moment.
