Geek Fu #09 - The Nutcracker

In this podcast I bitch about Audacity and mention an awesome plug I got from Worst Music You’ve Ever Heard. Upon listening again, I realize that I am so pissed off because of Audacity crashing that I sound annoyed about the plug, and that is not the case. I was tired of wrestling with it, so I left it as is, but I sound terribly sarcastic when I mention that it’s great that I’m in the popular club. So I wanted to say I am honestly and truly pleased with the plug they gave me.

Also, check out my awesome background music. Besides the frequent crashes, I am finally getting the hang of Audacity.

Hi, I’m one of the Audacity developers. Any chance you can send us some details of your crashes? (What operating system and version, and exactly what you were doing when the program crashed?) We can’t fix bugs if no one tells us about them…

Loved the podcast - but disliked the music throughout. Maybe fade it down when you get to the essay bit? It detracted from the mood of the essay for me.

Downloading one of your first podcasts Ive ever heard as I write this, but I wanted to first say you might look into Adobe Audition.. its really cool and sometimes more well behavied that Audicity. Though.. yeah.. Audicity is smaller and.. Audition would have to be downloaded via P2P unless youve got 400 US$ to spare. Anyway.. looking forward to it….
