News and Observer Article
The Raleigh News and Observer finally ran their article on podcasting. You can see it, and pictures of me, my dog, my daughter, and Brian and Jennifer Pipa, at their site.
I’m pleased with the article. It was less condescending that others I’ve read, and more “look out Clear Channel and NPR!”
[EDIT]
All right, dammit, first I could look at it, now it’s demanding registration. Sorry.
Also, I found it interesting that he said I was an avid role-player, but did not mention that I write for the damn things. And I even showed him a couple of my books.
Ah well. If you have found this site by way of the N&O, welcome, take a look around, and I hope you like it.
[EDIT THE SECOND]
My friend Andy, of the Podcrumbs podcast, was extremely quick to point out to me that I did not, in fact, learn about podcasting on October 28. It was October 26. He has the log to prove it. You can see the log at his Webcrumbs blog.

Hey congrats on making a newspaper, guess that means you’re famous now! Don’t forget us when you start earning millions!
By the way, I managed to view the Raleigh News and Observer website once, and the 2nd time I tried, it asked me to register too. Guess the first visit was a freebie…

Mur, thanks for linking to the article. I enjoyed reading it, as well as the photos.

For those keeping score: I was able to read it a second time, but the photos required registration. Then when I tried a third time the whole thing required registration. I don’t know if they have a password there, but you can see if bugmenot.com has a valid password.

I have yet to see a registration page and I have visited it many times. Weird. Maybe Firefox is letting me in? via Adblock? Idunno.
Mur….I archived the page on my site just in case but I didn’t archive the pics of you so grab it.
Brian

Thanks Brian. I bought several paper copies, so I’m not lacking, but thanks for letting me know.
Also, bugmenot.com has a login for the paper.
