Geek Fu #18 - Where’s My Feminism?

I wax nostaligic for a good bit about the comic book stores of the past. Or just one, actually. This week’s essay is about how it’s great that young women in movies are now mighty, but feminism needs to stretch to the no-personality, broom-holding June Cleaver mothers.

Few show notes. One, really.

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I enjoy
your podcast. BTW, have you ever seen “Rookie of the Year”?
Toward the end of the movie the mother admits to her son that
he gets his athletic skill from her instead of the father that
    skipped out on them.

Since you’re in Derm, swing by “Books Do Furnish a Room” over at http://www.booksdofurnisharoom.com/directs.htm
and if you’re down in Chapel Hill the Undergrad’s got a great collection (no really).
