Coyote Kings up for awards
General May 24th, 2005
I failed to mention in my podcast that The Coyote Kings of the Space-Age Bachelor Pad is up for the Philip K. Dick Award, the Compton Crook Award, and now, the Locus Best First Novel Award.
Good luck, Faust!
Geek Fu #24 - Math is Hard
Podcasting May 22nd, 2005
You know, when you stop saying self-depricating comments, you stop feeling down on yourself. Amazing.
I discuss lots of email I got, audio equipment, a book review, and how my struggle with numbers is making worry about the kiddo.

Geek Fu #23 - I’m Back!
Podcasting, Geek! GEEEEK! May 18th, 2005
Much discussion on my appearanceon the Gaming Uncensored podcast, E3, Area 51, a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Review, my own take on Podcast Island, thanks to Alpha-Rants, and the ongoing rivalries in the geek world.
I so wanted this podcast to go out today. Then I recorded it. Listening to it for editing purposes, I sound like Max Hedroom in several instances. Is this my mic? Is it Audacity? Regardless, it’s not fit for release. Dammit.
Will try again later. Sorry.
Geek Fu #22
Podcasting May 7th, 2005
Last week my podcast became old enough to drink, and I didn’t even celebtate.
Family reunion, reminding people that I am, in fact, a geek, email, and why I like geeks. It’s all here.
(PS - I apologize for the recording quality at the end of the essay - I wanted to slip something in after I recorded, and it’s a little obvious… radio I’m not.)
Geek Fu #21
Podcasting May 3rd, 2005
Sorry this is so late, but there was a beach involved.
Work, evil, toy-stealing oceans, and how I did some ethically questionable things during my brief stint as a journalism student. Oh, and as I mentioned below, I break down and beg for votes.

Savvy viewers will note (and non-savvy viewers will know as soon as they finish reading this sentence) that I’ve submitted to the podcast alley pressure. So there’s a link. Please vote. You can also vote for me at Podcast Pickle. (I think. The site seems really slow right now.)
New podcast soon. I promise.
Dammit
Podcasting, Writing May 2nd, 2005
The essay I podcasted last week, All Knocked Up and Nowhere to Go, was rejected from a magazine this week. Guess I have nothing to worry about, then…
