Geek Fu #29

Still no essay, but much discussion on Origins, work, Howl’s Moving Castle, a plug, and more. Fresh essay at The Dragon Page.

If you’re interested in a Geek Fu Action Grip t-shirt, drop me a line and let me know. I have prototypes and will start ordering them for real if there’s enough interest. I can get pictures up soon, if you need.

Another great podcast Mur :) For those who don’t know, Howl’s Moving Castle is based on a British Childrens book of the same name by author Diana Wynne Jones. Although it isnt an exact copy of the book, it’s Mr Miyazaki’s own version and I highly recommend them both.

I should also say I really love Porco Rosso, so I hope you get a chance to see it Mur. Have a great trip, looking forward to your nexts work and I hope you enjoy reading Alpha Shade.

I won’t deny that I’ve been stung by another podcaster’s remarks, but this was more in response to something said about a friend of mine. Some dude was just going on and on about geeks and nerds and how stupid we are and how funny we’re not. I’m not going to point to them beacuse frankly, I don’t want to give them attention, positive or negative.

Complaining about geeks in a podcast is like using a staduim loudspeaker to complain about football fans.
