Geek Fu #32 - Tivo Nation
You know, next week I turn 32. And this is my 32nd podcast. I’m vaguely disappointed that I didn’t manage to time this *just so*, since next week will be podcast the 33rd. Ah well.
This podcast marks the return of the essay! And I review Alpha Shade, discuss my trip to the Mac store, and other sundries.

Just wanted to leave you a quick comment. Your podcast was mentioned in a SciFi weekly article (http://www.scifi.com/sfw/issue430/site.html) which was about the The SciFi Podcast Network. They said, “…others might prefer ‘Geek Fu Action Grip,’ which is about (among other things) successfully raising a geek child.” Anyway, keep up the good work, I am a long time listener.

You asked in this podcast what we liked to hear. I’m fond of your sociological insights in your essays on Geek Culture and raising a child as a Geek Adult. We need more of that. There is a lot of people talking about the stuff of Geek Culture but you are the only one making comments about the culture itself (that aren’t intentionally derisive, that is) and how it fits into the internet and the world in general.
