Just by way of humorous anecdote, we purchased two of these so called "Holiday Packs" based on your strong endorsement.

Well … okay … we thought it would be funny.

After sampling the "Turkey and Gravy," -- whose flavor can only be described as “carbonated pan drippings with just a hint of ass” -- the remaining bottles were interspersed and hidden amongst the other beverages in the "drink fridge" in the basement. You see, OUR weekly gaming group has failed to grasp the concept of "B.Y.O.B." They bring a twelve pack; they consume a case and a half. We figured next time somebody wants to clandestinely pilfer our stash, they’ll learn a valuable lesson.

Which we also thought would be funny.

To make the long story short and spare you the social dynamics of our gaming group, let’s just skip to the part where the "Pumpkin Pie" was discovered yesterday by a group member who had not been present in several months and was blissfully unaware of the "Holiday Pack." This led to the long discussion of why we had it, what "Geek Fu Action Grip" is, what podcasting is, etc. We played the essay in question for all in attendance, one of whom suggested we play the preceding show about the "Star Wars Holiday Special," to which the person holding the can of pumpkin evil remarked, "There was a Star Wars Holiday Special?"

I took pity on his innocence at that remark, refused to show him the holiday special, and split the bottle of pumpkin soda with him.

Yes, the soda was bad. Okay, by the time the petroleum taste left your mouth, there may have been a sickening aftertaste that might be reminiscent of pumpkin pie to a substantial portion of the soda-drinking population, but really, what does a frozen Mrs. Smiths pie cost? Anyway, I held my breath, downed half the bottle, and -- after a couple of garlic triscuits liberally covered with sharp cheddar cheese ball -- thought I had made a full recovery.

I could not have been more completely, and utterly wrong.

At some point in the middle of the night, my body, as it often does, decided to "send back up" the excess pumpkin-flavored gas-byproduct produced in the digestive process. I kid you not, that one little burp in the middle of the night, kept me awake coughing, and gagging for an hour -- and no combination of Tums, toothpaste, and Listerine could remove that horror from my mouth and nasal cavity. Should I be concerned that there is merely the thinnest membrane separating the nasal cavity from the lower part of the brain?

It has now been 18 hours, and I am still not convinced the end is in sight. My Egg McMuffin tasted like Jones’ Pumpkin Pie Soda this morning ... as did my coffee. Every once in a while, without warning, the essence of pumpkin will reappear as an odor or as a taste in my mouth. Though my eyes have yet to change color, I can only assume the chemicals have completely saturated my other bodily systems by now. If I develop the ability to see the future, fold space, or command giant sandworms, I will be sure to post a follow-up.

After your description of those soda's it's scarcely believable that anyone would voluntarily drink each of them. Yet apparently it has happened.

While the way it's presented kinda irks me, these guys drank each and every flavour and... a mixture combining all! Take a looksee.
(keep up the great pod-casts)

Amazing. I get the URL for Jones Soda wrong ("ww" instead of "www") and wordpress thinks it has two enclosures, gets confused, and screws up the RSS. Very sorry. Fixed now.

I'm having problems with the feed, I get the following error in Juice:

'Geek Fu Action Grip' reports: Item 4 has more than one enclosure

The mp3 downloads fine direct from the website.
