Geek Fu Brokeback Edition

Well, we sat in a bar at StellarCon, drank, and talked about who we would go gay for.

This podcast is not for kids. It’s also quite long.

The players:

Me
Jason from Random Signal
Christiana, author of Nina Kimberly the Merciless
Tee from Survival Guide to Writing Fantasy
Davey from RotO
Diana from Spades (NOT spayed)
Nick from Lulu

I accept reponsiblity for none of it.

Geek-fu’in’ it… There’s just something about a bunch of geeks sitting around chattin’ that’s just totally airwolf.

What frightens me is how I can hear a conversation topic in AZ and then … Snakes on a frickin’ plane… it shows up across the country at a con in NC?!

After hearing Escape Pod 42 today, there’s a major mental spring that’s sprung today.

I love the fact that the guys wanted to know why all the male cylons left something to be desired. ;)

Great show! I, for one, find it refreshing to hear you in a more relaxed situation. I agree with your earlier position (I forget which show it was on) about standards and professionalism, but every now and again it’s good to hear folks “let their hair down” (quite a feat for me, being bald).

Looking forward to the next episode.

I love the laid back atmosphere of this episode– it’s the antithesis to the normal NPR vibe you have. Reminds me of when I’d host my old college radio show with a friend as a guest… Good times.

Despite being recorded in a bar, the audio quality isn’t that bad…

Keep working on that Geek Fu Action Grip! ;)

I found it a bit harder to follow than usual, but that’s okay. I enjoyed the casual atmosphere, the casual conversation and what-not. I really wish I could join in and have a drink and listen in person. Thanks for bringing us into your hang out!

I loved it! It actually made me jealous because I wish I had geek friends who wanted to sit around and talk about fun stuff (sadly, all my friends are music geeks and just want to sit around talking about music). So great job!

Geek Fu got mentioned at the end of a language blog entry–although I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.

I’m a little behind the times with listening to podcasts. This podcast was totally Airwolf.

One side note Mur, Monterey Jack was also a character on disney’s Rescue Rangers with Chip and Dale.
