Tricks of the Podcasting Masters
Well, I have the copies in my grubby little hands. It hits store shelves tomorrow. I think I’m still in shock. And, knowing how critical some podcasters (well, people in general) can be, not a little scared. But I think Rob and I did a good job. I just hope people agree.
A lot of people.

In other news, preparation continues for Balticon. My buttons arrived (thanks Jared for the recommendation, they look great!), my books of essays arrived, and now I have my podcasting books to take. Throw in some underwear and a copy of Arkham Horror, and I’m set for the weekend.

Just curious, but is this book available through alternative formats such as audiobook (via the web), or ebook, etc? I know that’s a little like preaching to the choir, but you’re obviously have at least a small recording studio so it theoretically wouldn’t be that cost prohibitive to make into an audiobook and/or ebook.

Not cost prohibitive, but definitely not my call. Que has the rights to do that, not me.

Fair enough. I guess that means they own all the rights to the book? I’m a little behind on the history of this book. Did they ask you to write it? Or did you sell the book to them after it was written?

Mur,
Congratulations on the book! I’ve already heard great things from Paul Colligan, he blogged about your book today. I’ll do the same on my blog.
Great job! We need a book like this, Mur.

Congrats on the book! We bought it last week and it finally showed up Monday! And of course I read it immediately the next day.
I want to say thank you for putting something out there beyond what to plug where, something a beyond the technicalities. This book was really helpful for us! Thanks again!

I went by Borders today looking for Podcasting for Dummies, but they didn’t have it. What they did have was Secrets, and since I was there for a book on podcasting, and I’m a listener of your two shows, I bought it and took it home! A loss for Dummies and a win for the Mur.
