Mur, I’m an avid Escape Pod listener and Geek Fu listener. I’ve really been enjoying Heaven and I thought your Escape Pod story, I Look Forward to Remembering You, was really good. I am not a writer, but I am an avid reader since i can remember and I really enjoy your essays and stories. When I saw the tag in my Escape Pod listing, I was excited to see you were the author. Loved the story, and i love Geek Fu Action Grip!

OMG this was a great story. Mur, you are a very talented writer. Very clever storyline, and very original. I love that quirky sci-fi genre

I just got caught up with my Escape Pod podcast and heard your short story. I loved it. I guess it was late in the day and I didn’t expect to have such an emotional reaction to a podcast short story, but I got all misty eyed. Your other story about Santa was pretty good, but this is quite a step forward. I can really see you growing as a writer. Keep up the good work,

Great Story Mur!
I am no writer by any means but I’ve enjoyed your comments and stories on GF and ISBW. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Just heard your story today, on Escape pod. I’ve been following Heaven, which I like but not specially love, and I must say that “I look forward to remembering you” is really an excellent piece of fiction. Very well written, indeed!
Looking forward to hearing more

Nice short story Mur - had to tell you, it brought me back to the days when I used to get the “amazing stories” (?) periodical that asimov was editor of oh say 25 years ago… definitely high caliber short story you wrote, nice work!

Mur,
As an avid fan of all “time travel” fiction, I have to say I found your story to be well thought out and gripping.
I thought your characters were well rounded (as well rounded as characters in a short story can be), and believable.
Keep up the great work!
Bill

Great story - you had me hooked by the paradigm shift when we found out that she wasn’t his lil daughter but his wife! Oh how Romeo and Juliet
Thanks!

Mur,
This was an awesome story - I didn’t know what to expect when I started listening, and I was overwrought. It’s nice to see someone writting truly excellent sci-fi in 2006! If you haven’t already, you should consider publishing a book of short stories like this.

Mur, thanks for your writing.
I am enjoying Heaven quite a bit, and this story was a nice refreshing break.
I have always enjoyed time travel stories, and yours was quite interesting, but…
I must confess that from the point of the “twist”, I was anticipating a bit more. The story ended with me still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe I am projecting a bit too much into the tale, but I was rather expecting to hear the “other side” of the story. To be precise, how did Erika’s life change?
Perhaps not at all, at least that is what I infer. I guess I was expecting a karmic balance to be struck, where the Law of Unintended Consequences takes full toll.
I’m really not grousing, although I can see where some might think so. Just letting you know how thought-provoking your story was and where it had my mind going.

Mur, what an amazing story! What a fantastic premise! Way to make me choke up while making dinner and listening along! I’ve never been much for short stories, but you’ve made a believer out of me. Thank you, I feel lucky to have heard that.

Mur, Your story rocks. Can we get a written version somewhere. I have a friend who would love it but it likes dead tree versions. I recently bought him Geek Fu Action Grip.
