Mur, Your story rocks. Can we get a written version somewhere. I have a friend who would love it but it likes dead tree versions. I recently bought him Geek Fu Action Grip.

Mur, what an amazing story! What a fantastic premise! Way to make me choke up while making dinner and listening along! I've never been much for short stories, but you've made a believer out of me. Thank you, I feel lucky to have heard that.

Mur, thanks for your writing.
I am enjoying Heaven quite a bit, and this story was a nice refreshing break.
I have always enjoyed time travel stories, and yours was quite interesting, but...

I must confess that from the point of the "twist", I was anticipating a bit more. The story ended with me still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe I am projecting a bit too much into the tale, but I was rather expecting to hear the "other side" of the story. To be precise, how did Erika's life change?

Perhaps not at all, at least that is what I infer. I guess I was expecting a karmic balance to be struck, where the Law of Unintended Consequences takes full toll.

I'm really not grousing, although I can see where some might think so. Just letting you know how thought-provoking your story was and where it had my mind going.

Mur,

This was an awesome story - I didn't know what to expect when I started listening, and I was overwrought. It's nice to see someone writting truly excellent sci-fi in 2006! If you haven't already, you should consider publishing a book of short stories like this.

Mur,

As an avid fan of all "time travel" fiction, I have to say I found your story to be well thought out and gripping.
I thought your characters were well rounded (as well rounded as characters in a short story can be), and believable.

Keep up the great work!

Nice short story Mur - had to tell you, it brought me back to the days when I used to get the "amazing stories" (?) periodical that asimov was editor of oh say 25 years ago... definitely high caliber short story you wrote, nice work!

Mur:

Just heard your story today, on Escape pod. I've been following Heaven, which I like but not specially love, and I must say that "I look forward to remembering you" is really an excellent piece of fiction. Very well written, indeed!

Looking forward to hearing more

I just got caught up with my Escape Pod podcast and heard your short story. I loved it. I guess it was late in the day and I didn't expect to have such an emotional reaction to a podcast short story, but I got all misty eyed. Your other story about Santa was pretty good, but this is quite a step forward. I can really see you growing as a writer. Keep up the good work,
