Grrrr…
I have had nothing but trouble with PodPress since I installed it. Now the latest podcast is not in the feed. If anyone wants to help me with the ins and outs of podpress, and if I should just give up and go back to regular wordpress, please email me.

Hey Mur, unless someone can before I can. I would be more than willing to help you out a bit this evening sometime. You should have me on Skype. Let me know when you might be available.

Hey Mur,
It looks like you may have already gotten things squared away and I am not at all familiar with Podpress, but you may find this helpful. Wordpress will automatically add an enclosure tag to the feed it generates if you link to an MP3 file in a post (which you already do). Then for the iTunes-specific stuff you can run that feed through FeedBurner.

Yeah, that’s what I did before PodPress… that’s why I’m thinking of dropping it.

*sigh* - How many times does a guy have to say “I can help”?

Evo - one more time than all the times you say that you’re super busy, or traveling…

if “wordpress worked”; then
do “go back to wordpress”
elif “podpress works better”; then
do “FOR THE HORD!”

I guess what I’m trying to say. If wordpress worked, why did you move to podpress? Ahhh, the good old “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” argument… However, if wordpress just didn’t do what you wanted it to do, then you’ll have to get together a group of lv60 podpressers, and grind it out. I hope you get your drop =)

Mur - I have setup podpress for the community radio station I volunteer at (http://shows.weru.org/archives/) and have been pretty happy with it actually. I’m not running the absolute latest version, you know the old ‘if it ain’t broke…’ saying, but I feel I know it and wordpress well enough that I might be helpful.
Drop me a line and tell me what problems your having and I’ll be happy to brainstorm with you.

I don’t know if this is exactly your problem, but Juice Receiver on Windows has problems with the sort of URLs you get when you run Podpress through Feedburner. This is apparently due to a change Feedburner recently made. A release that fixes the issue is available at http://www.juicereceiver.com/support/viewtopic.php?t=1012
FWIW, I’m getting your episodes just fine with this release.

UGH…
Why is everyone going to podtrac and podpress?!?
I now can no longer get Mur’s stuff, Slice of Sci-Fi and Wingin’ It at work… damnable filters.
It’s broke and I can’t even listen to Heaven 11 and 12 without serious work.
Keep up the great work, but go back to the old way of releasing the shows….
please, please, please ; )
