    Hi Mur,

A few years ago my mum was over in the Moscow McDonalds with a group of Scouts she was with. Twenty minutes after they left it got blown up. Talk about a close shave.

    Cheers,

I really loved the interview and just the general feel of this podcast. JC and you had such a good rapport going, I could have listened to that one for a few more hours. It was like being a cool party and then finding the room with the even cooler people who talk about things that are in my head. If you really need help setting up a city (zombified or not) try reading James Trefil’s A Scientist in the City (1994).
I also feel the same about Winging It. So much so that I removed it from my podcast lineup. I felt bad because it was the one podcast that introduced me to so many other great podcasts. I guess beer and dick jokes must really sell in some markets. I still keep Slice of SciFi and if it wasn’t for Summer (who is the only one who says any thing decent) I wouldn’t have that one on either. Oh, I also loved the interview on ReelHorror.
Thanks again for putting yourself out there. You seem to be the one thread that ties up all my favorite podcasts and for that I am grateful.
    Best of luck with everything.
    Don

Earlier today, someone at a forum that I frequent sent me a message. Apparently, she listens to this podcast, too, and she recognized the name “Youngest of One,” since I’ve also used it as an alias. Small world, huh?

Anyway, I’d just like to say that it was a thrill to hear my voicemail on the show, and all that you said in response was very nice and has made me ecstatic. I will continue to listen to episodes throughout the archives of both your podcasts (and new episodes as their released), and, of course, I will continue to write. I hope to keep in touch.

The “Scott Sigler Sings” portion of the show caused me to knock over my Diet Pepsi not once, not twice, but three times.

I felt compelled to share…..I don’t think I’ve ever commented in these parts.

    Hi Mur,
Loved the con interview thing. I was wondering if you’ld do me favour? I produced a 2-part (” hour) podcast of interviews at the Discworld convention. I’m still fairly new to this kinda thing and was wondering if you could squeeze it in and give your (much more experienced) opinion?
    Cheers,
    Phaze

Excellent interview! But when did you record that? It sounds like everything was still going on in the suite. Since I was there a fair amount it makes me wonder where I was at that time. Anyway, I have to agree with Phil re: “Naynonebber!” I didn’t spill my pepsi, but had I been drinking some, I would have.

I also like the giant spider idea.

the best part of Scott Sigler’s singing was the pained, veins popping, red faced expression he had when he was singing those lines with so much veracity.

    Hola Mur!

I’ve really been enjoying your podcasts. I just found them around the time of Dragon*Con and I think I’m all caught up on “I should be Writing” and have started GFAG in backwards chronology.

On the zombie story - this will sound like a terrible pun (which is ok, I think) but it is directly relevant to your question about whether or not the living dead need city services. Your zombies in your “necropolis” probably do need - at a minimum - some form of law-enforcement. And if that were the focus of your story, you could title it “Necro-Police.”

That does bring up an excellent topic for writers - and one I ran into when I got my first (and so far only) sale (from Weird Tales). My story title had already been used - back in the 40’s. How was I supposed to know that? Sure, George Scithers knows that, but I sure didn’t. Google won’t cut it for title-search. Any suggestions?

    Hey Mur

Its fine, it seems like Beta-Ian might have said somethings out of turn to Beta-Mur, and I hope that if Beta-DragonCon-Ian was still here, I’m sure he’d apologize

This is really screwing my head up.

Nearly four weeks after DragonCon and I am still waiting on Evo to send my t-shirt. I left later that afternoon (the day you recorded this episode)
