Geek Fu 100 live from Balticon I’ll do show notes later, but thanks to everyone who worked so hard on the podcast to make it awesome.
Because of Balticon 41, the show notes are lazy. Sorry. Had lots of problems, lost lots of voicemails. Argh.
But! 99! W00t!
As we edge closer to 100, we talk stuff:
Planet Earth and GO EAGLE GO!
New Segment: Personal Message to One of You
Balticon is in 2 weeks!
Bumper: Tabitha Smith from Strangely Literal
Guest essay from James Parkinson: Awe vs Respect and Normalcy
Feedback and ComicSpace
Guest appearance by the kiddo!
Long time listeners will know that my inability to get NPR to even acknowledge my submissions (I never even got rejections from This American Life, This I Believe or Morning Edition) is what got me started podcasting my essays. So I took some of those essays and entered the public radio talent search. If you’re interested, can you vote for me? I feel silly asking for votes, but since I don’t ask you to vote anywhere else, I figured it can’t hurt… http://www.publicradioquest.com/node/1302
(New Geek Fu soon, as soon as I can get it edited)
Enough people have asked about Murcaching, and I realized I don’t have it written down anywhere, it’s only described in the podcast. So here’s Murcaching.
I have a Wonder Woman lunchbox I’m going to mail out. There are little goodies inside. When you get the box, take one out, and put something inside for me. Send me a picture with you with the lunchbox. When I get the pic, I send you an address and you send it to the next person. And so on.
Email me - include your address - at mightymur AT gmail DOT com if you’re interested. No one will see your address but me and the one person who sends the lunchbox to you.
More essays! When will the madness stop?
Bumper: Earl Newton, Stranger Things
It was Free Comic Book Day!
We have official Geek Fu, Heaven, Hell and Earth Geeklabel Shirts!
Murcaching is out of control! It’ll start soon!
I have a rant about MySpace.
There WILL be a Heaven part IV.
Bumper: Buffy Between The Lines
