Few writers have worn as many hats as Mur Lafferty. Besides writing the book on podcasting, she's published short stories, written stories for 15 role-playing games, one textbook, and scores of podcasting scripts. If you want to hear her work, check…

Hi Mur! You asked for international listeners. I live in Sweden and I am a long-time listener to ISBW and a fairly new listener to Geek Fu. I agree with you regarding MySpace. I have a love/hate relationship with that site. My brother is on there and he’s a composer and lyricist so he has quite alot of friends and connections there. I have a page there, too, mainly because of me sitting in the board of Swecasters, a foundation for Swedish podcasters. I really like your voice, very podcast friendly.
Well, keep up the great work!

Essays are back! Essays are back (okay, they were back in #96, but I didn’t comment there)! And yes, even tho they are essays I’ve already read (as a longtime fan of KODT. Side note: I was already a listener when I saw that you were writting for KODT… made it nice and easy to have a mental “voice” to associate with the articles. To this day, the characters of KODT will always sound like the voices from the hoodyhoo.com flash cartoons. Damn. That was a side note of a side note. I hate that.), I had always hoped I’d get the chance to hear them. It always just adds that little something-something.
Anyway, thank you for that. And thank you for adding me as a friend on MySpace… after hearing your comments on that (within what? A couple of weeks of my making the request? Even less?) I feel as though that somehow, somewhere, I passed a test I wasn’t even aware I was taking. And without even pimping the site (which I thought I had at one point, and that -will- be remedied). Chances are, though, you probably caught the fact that I generally agree with your assessment (reminds me, I need to trim down the list a little).
In any case, keep up the good work(s), Mur!

Hello Mur. I’ve known your podcast was out there for a while now, but I never listened to it until I listened to this episode last night. I sort of thought that I wouldn’t really enjoy listening to essays, especially since I’m a graduate student so my life is full of lectures and presentations and whatnot. I usually listen to discussion-driven casts like Boot or Landing, you know? But I have to say I really enjoyed this episode, the essay, everything. Considerably more than I expected. So that was a nice surprise, and I wanted to let you know now have a lot of listening to do (fortunately I also have a lot of commuting to do…). So, thanks.
